OFFICIAL RULES · EFFECTIVE OCT 28, 2026
NFL Weekly Fantasy, Week 8
Official rules
No purchase necessary to enter or win. Every entry, bonus entries included, is available free. Void where prohibited. The plain-English version is under How it works.
1. Sponsor and administrator
The prize is provided and the contest is run by Axe LLC ("Sponsor" and "Administrator"), 6051 Brookstone Lane, Grand Blanc, MI. Sponsor is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by the NFL, the NFL Players Association, or any team.
2. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who are 18 or older at entry (19 or older in Alabama and Nebraska; 21 or older in Mississippi), and to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are of the age of majority in their province or territory at entry. Employees of Sponsor and Administrator and their households are not eligible. One entry per person, plus one bonus entry as described in Section 4; duplicate accounts are void.
3. How to enter and when it locks
Entry opens Wednesday, October 28 at 1:09 PM ET and locks Sunday, November 1 at 1:00 PM ET, the scheduled kickoff of the contest's first game. If that kickoff time changes before the lock, the lock time may change to match. To enter, build a lineup as described in Sections 6 and 7, enter a tiebreaker (Section 9), and submit a valid email address. Once an entry is submitted, its lineup is final. A Super Market member may change their lineup until the lock time.
4. Bonus entry
A registered entrant may receive one (1) additional entry for each person they refer who has not previously entered this contest and completes a valid entry before the lock time. Maximum two (2) entries per person. No referral is required: to request a bonus entry without referring anyone, email hey@mainmarket.com before the lock time and one will be granted, up to the same maximum. Each entry is scored independently; a person may win only one prize per contest, and where more than one of their entries would place, the highest-placing entry is paid and each later-placing entrant moves up. A Super Market member receives one bonus entry in each contest, counted toward the same maximum; the free request above gives the same bonus entry at no cost. Self-referral, duplicate accounts, or referrals the Administrator determines to be fraudulent void the bonus entry.
5. Super picks (no purchase necessary)
One player at each position in the player pool is a Super pick, chosen by the Administrator before the contest opens and marked in the lineup builder. A Super pick costs stars like any other player. Adding a Super pick to a lineup requires that the entrant has unlocked the Super picks for this contest, in any one of three ways: (a) an active Super Market membership; (b) inviting by email a friend who has not played on mainmarket before, from a valid, non-temporary address that has not bounced, which unlocks the Super picks when the invitation is sent (or when the friend opens the entrant's invite link on a different device and network), at most five invitations a day and one unlock per contest, and which unlocks the invited friend's Super picks as well; or (c) a free request, which requires no purchase and no referral. To request them free, use "Request them free" on the contest page and give your email address; submitting the request means you agree to these Official Rules. One request per person per contest; addresses are matched after removing letter case, any "+" suffix and, for Gmail, dots. Requests must be received by Sunday, November 1 at 9:00 AM ET. Every valid request is granted, without review, within four hours of being received and always before the lock time, and a confirmation is sent to the address given; sign in with that address to use them. A lineup does not need a Super pick to be entered or to win, and in every other respect an entry with the Super picks unlocked is identical to one without. Player analytics (Super Insight) are information only, drawn from public statistics, and are not needed to enter or to win (Optional paid features). They come with a Super Market membership, or one player at a time with points; an invitation or a free request does not open them.
6. Player pool and prices
The player pool is the quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers listed by the Administrator before the contest opens, from the teams playing in the contest's games (the games listed with the contest). Each player has a price of 1 to 5 stars, set by the Administrator before the contest opens. Prices are fixed once the contest opens and do not change for injuries, news, or performance. Stars are used only to build a lineup in this contest: they have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or carried over to another contest.
Injury designations shown next to a player (Questionable, Doubtful, Out) come from public injury reports, are shown for information only, and may be out of date. A player designated Out, on injured reserve, or suspended cannot be added to a lineup. A player designated Questionable or Doubtful can be.
7. Lineup, budget and Captain
A lineup has three players: one quarterback (QB), one running back (RB), and one wide receiver (WR). Each slot takes only a player of that position, and no player may be used twice. The three players together may cost no more than 9 stars; a lineup may spend fewer, and unspent stars earn nothing. One of the three players must be named Captain. The Captain's points count twice (Section 8). Choosing a Captain is free and open to every entrant; it cannot be bought. A lineup can be locked only with every slot filled, within the budget, with a Captain, and with a tiebreaker guess (Section 9). Each person may enter one lineup.
8. Scoring
Each player scores points from his statistics in the contest's games, as reported by ESPN. Where ESPN and the NFL's official game book disagree, the official game book controls. A lineup's score is the total of its three players' points, with the Captain's points counted twice. Players score as follows:
Passing: 1 point for every 25 passing yards, 4 points per passing touchdown, and minus 2 points per interception thrown.
Rushing and receiving: 1 point for every 10 rushing or receiving yards, 6 points per rushing or receiving touchdown, and 0.5 points per catch.
Kick or punt return touchdown: 6 points.
Fumble lost: minus 2 points.
Successful 2-point conversion: 2 points.
Kicking: a made field goal of 0 to 39 yards scores 3 points; 40 to 49 yards, 4 points; 50 yards or more, 5 points. A made extra point scores 1 point.
Yards score by the yard, not in whole steps: each passing yard is worth 0.04 points and each rushing or receiving yard 0.1 points, so 249 passing yards score 9.96 points.
9. Tiebreaker
Entries with the same total points are ranked by the tiebreaker. Each entrant guesses the passing yards of the quarterback in their own lineup, as a whole number from 0 to 999. The guess is required to lock and may be changed until the lock time. The entry whose guess is closest to that quarterback's actual passing yards in the contest's games, over or under, ranks higher; the yards are not doubled for a Captain. If that quarterback does not play, or his game is not completed before settlement, his actual passing yards are 0. Remaining ties are handled as described in Prizes (Section 13): the entry locked in first places higher.
10. Injured and inactive players
No lineup can be changed after the lock time, and no player can be swapped or replaced after it for any reason, including injury, illness, suspension, a coach's decision, or a change to a game's time. A player who does not play scores 0 points, as a Captain too. A player injured during a game keeps the points he scored before he left it. Before the lock time, a lineup that can still be changed (How to enter and when it locks) may replace any player, including one designated Out.
11. Postponed, cancelled, or moved games
Only games completed before settlement (Section 12) count. If a contest game is postponed, cancelled, suspended and not completed, or moved to a time after settlement, every player in that game scores 0 points for it. A game moved to another time that is still before settlement counts as normal. The game is not removed from the contest, no entry is voided, and no lineup may be changed because of it.
12. Stats final at settlement
Points update as games are played. Results become final at settlement, at 9:00 AM ET on the day after the contest's last game (for this contest, Monday, November 2 at 9:00 AM ET). Statistics are taken as they stand at settlement. Before settlement, the Administrator may correct a statistic it determines was recorded in error. A stat correction made by the NFL or by ESPN after settlement does not change any score, rank, or prize.
13. Prizes
Three prizes, each a Super Market membership. First place: one year of Super Market (approximate retail value $49.99). Second place: one month of Super Market (approximate retail value $5.99). Third place: one week of Super Market (approximate retail value $1.99). Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $57.97 (all values in U.S. dollars). There is no cash prize. The top ten also receive League points: first place 300, second place 200, third place 150, and fourth to tenth place 75 each. League points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash; they can be spent in the mainmarket Shop, where 300 points buy one week of Super Market. A membership won is added to the winner's mainmarket account when results are final, and runs from then, or from the end of any Super Market time already granted to that account; it does not renew and is never charged. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash. Where entrants tie for a paid place after the tiebreaker, the entry submitted first (the time it was first locked in; changing the lineup afterward does not change that time) takes the higher place. Prizes are not transferable and no substitution is allowed, except that Administrator may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
14. Winner verification and payment
Potential winners are notified by email within 24 hours of the final and must confirm eligibility within 5 days. Administrator may require identity verification. Verified winners are paid within 3 business days of verification. A potential winner who has not confirmed within 5 days of the notice is sent one reminder. One who has not confirmed within 5 days of the reminder, or whose notice cannot be delivered, forfeits the prize, and it is awarded to the next eligible entrant in order of finish. A potential winner who is a resident of Canada must also correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question before being confirmed as a winner.
15. Optional paid features
Super Market (a weekly, monthly or yearly membership) and points (earned by playing, with no cash value) offer optional features: analytics for each player (what his opponent allows his position, and how many lineups hold him) and the Super picks described in these rules, changing picks after an entry is submitted and before the lock time, and, for Super Market members, one bonus entry per contest as described in Section 4. None of these is required to enter or to win. Every entrant can enter, and request a bonus entry, for free. The analytics are information only; they are not a pick or a prediction, and they do not guarantee any result.
16. Email and privacy
By entering, you agree to receive contest emails from Administrator and from Highlights, a mainmarket brand. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. See the Privacy Policy.
17. Disputes and contact
Scoring questions must be raised within 48 hours of the final by emailing hey@mainmarket.com. Administrator's decisions are final. Winners list: Available for 90 days after the contest ends; email hey@mainmarket.com.
