Information We Collect

• ●Account information — full name, email address, and phone number when you apply
• ●Payment information — processed securely through Stripe Connect for instant payouts; MainMarket does not store your bank details
• ●Location data — GPS coordinates are collected during active scan sessions to verify you are at the assigned store; we do not track your location outside of active scans
• ●Camera and sensor data — shelf imagery captured by your iPhone's camera and AR sensors (ARKit, LiDAR) during scan sessions
• ●Device information — device model, OS version, and sensor capabilities to ensure scan quality

How We Use Your Data

• ●Verify scan location to ensure data accuracy and prevent fraud
• ●Process shelf imagery through our computer vision pipeline to extract product, pricing, and stock data
• ●Pay you promptly after scan approval via Stripe Connect
• ●Improve scan quality and provide support

Face Blurring

All imagery captured by the Scout app is processed on your device before upload. Any faces detected in shelf imagery are automatically blurred on-device before the data ever leaves your phone. MainMarket never receives, stores, or processes identifiable images of shoppers or store employees.

Location Privacy

GPS data is collected only during active scan sessions and is used solely to verify you are at the assigned store location. We do not track your location when you are not actively scanning, and location data is not shared with third parties.

General

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• ●Stripe — payment processing for Scout payouts
• ●Google Cloud — computer vision and AI services for shelf data extraction
• ●Apple — push notifications and App Store distribution

These services process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Scan imagery is retained for quality assurance purposes and is automatically deleted after 90 days. Aggregated, non-identifiable pricing and stock data derived from scans is retained indefinitely as part of our data products.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, row-level security policies on our database, and role-based access controls. Service credentials are stored server-side only and are never exposed to client applications.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may also opt out of non-essential communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
