Your Purchase is Protected

If an item arrives damaged or not as described, you can return it to the seller for a full refund. We stand behind every transaction and will work with you to ensure you receive what you ordered or your money back.

1. When You Can Return an Item

You may return an item to the seller if:

  • Item arrives damaged: The item was damaged during shipping or arrived in worse condition than described
  • Item not as described: The item doesn't match the listing description, condition, or photos
  • Wrong item received: You received a different item than what was ordered
  • Significant condition discrepancy: The condition (e.g., "Complete in Box" vs "Loose Game") doesn't match the listing

2. Return Timeframe

Return requests must be initiated within 7 days of delivery. This gives you time to inspect the item and report any issues promptly.

For items that never arrive, contact us within 14 days of the expected delivery date.

3. How to Request a Return

To request a return:

  1. Log in to your MainMarket.com account
  2. Go to your "Purchases" page
  3. Find the order and click "Report Issue" or "Request Return"
  4. Select the reason for return (damaged, not as described, etc.)
  5. Upload clear photos showing the issue (damage, condition discrepancy, etc.)
  6. Provide a detailed description of the problem
  7. Submit your return request

4. Return Review Process

Once you submit a return request, our team will review it within 2-3 business days. We'll examine:

  • Your photos and description
  • The original listing description and photos
  • Any communication between you and the seller
  • Shipping and tracking information

If your return is approved, we'll provide return shipping instructions and a prepaid return label (if the seller is at fault).

5. Returning the Item

When returning an item:

  • Use the return shipping label provided (if applicable)
  • Package the item securely to prevent further damage
  • Include all original packaging and materials if possible
  • Ship the return within 5 business days of approval
  • Provide tracking information for the return shipment
  • Keep your return tracking number until the refund is processed

6. Refund Processing

Once the seller confirms receipt of the returned item:

  • You'll receive a full refund to your original payment method
  • Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days
  • Original shipping costs will be refunded if the seller was at fault
  • Return shipping costs are covered by MainMarket if the seller was at fault

7. Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are handled as follows:

  • Seller at fault: We provide a prepaid return label at no cost to you
  • Buyer error: Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs (rare cases)
  • Damaged in transit: Return shipping is covered by MainMarket

8. Items That Cannot Be Returned

Returns are not accepted for:

  • Items that match the listing description and arrived in good condition
  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Items damaged by the buyer after delivery
  • Returns requested after the 7-day window
  • Items returned without prior approval

9. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers are expected to:

  • Accurately describe items in their listings
  • Provide clear, accurate photos showing the actual condition
  • Package items securely to prevent damage during shipping
  • Respond promptly to return requests
  • Accept returns for items that don't match their description

10. Our Commitment to You

At MainMarket, we believe in fair transactions. Our escrow system protects your payment until delivery is confirmed, and our return policy ensures you get what you ordered or your money back. We'll work with you and the seller to resolve any issues fairly and promptly.
