HOW IT WORKS · NFL WEEKLY FANTASY
Seven players. Each locks at kickoff.
Build a lineup from the week's NFL games inside a star budget, add a Penalty Roulette pick, and lock in before the first Sunday kickoff. Your players score from what they do on the field that week.
Your lineup
- Seven players. One quarterback (QB), one running back (RB), two wide receivers (WR), one tight end (TE), one kicker (K), and the Penalty Roulette pick. Each slot takes only that position, and no player can be used twice.
- How do stars work?Every player costs 1 to 5 stars. You have 17 to spend on six of them: QB, RB, two WRs, TE and K. Penalty Roulette is free. Go over 17 and the lineup won't submit.
- Stars are for building a lineup, nothing else.Prices are fixed once the contest opens and do not change for injuries, news or performance. Stars have no cash value. Unspent stars are allowed and earn nothing.
- Each player locks at his kickoff.Every game of the week is in the pool, Thursday and Monday included. A player locks when his game kicks off: after that he can't be added, swapped or taken out, and if he is your quarterback the tiebreaker locks with him. Everyone else can change until the scheduled kickoff of the first Sunday game, when the whole lineup locks.
Penalty Roulette
Four defenders, the four flagged most this season, each from a different game. Pick one. Every accepted penalty on him is −3. If he doesn't play, you're off the hook. Pick the one who stays clean.
Only accepted penalties called on him count. A penalty that is declined, offset, or called on a team rather than a player does not. If his game is postponed or not completed before results are final, he scores 0.
Scoring
A lineup's score is the total of its seven players' points. The six priced players score from their stats in the week's games:
- Passing1 point for every 25 passing yards, 4 points per passing touchdown, and minus 2 points per interception thrown.
- Rushing and receiving1 point for every 10 rushing or receiving yards, 6 points per rushing or receiving touchdown, and 0.5 points per catch.
- Kick or punt return touchdown6 points.
- Fumble lostMinus 2 points.
- Successful 2-point conversion2 points.
- KickingA made field goal of 0 to 39 yards scores 3 points; 40 to 49 yards, 4 points; 50 yards or more, 5 points. A made extra point scores 1 point.
Tiebreaker
Guess the passing yards of the quarterback in your own lineup, a whole number from 0 to 999. Entries with the same points are ranked by whose guess is closest, over or under. If your quarterback does not play, his passing yards count as 0. Still tied, the entry locked in first places higher.
Injuries and postponed games
- My player got hurtSwap him before his game kicks off or the lineup locks, whichever comes first. Q, D and O are ESPN's tags: questionable, doubtful, out. Once his game starts his slot is locked: a player who doesn't play scores 0.
- Hurt during the game.A player injured during a game keeps the points he scored before he left it.
- Postponed, cancelled or moved games.Only games completed before results are final count. A player whose game is not completed scores 0 for it, your Penalty Roulette pick included. No lineup can be changed because of it.
When results are final
Points update as games are played. Results are final at 9:00 AM ET on the Tuesday after the week's last game, and stats are taken as they stand then. A stat correction after that does not change any score, rank or prize.
Scoring, ties and postponed games are in each contest's official rules. Full rules
