HOW IT WORKS · PICK'EM
Pick every winner. Most right wins.
A Pick'em contest is a slate of games. Pick the winner of each one, guess one total for the tiebreaker, and lock in with an email.
Making your picks
- Pick a winner in every game on the slate.Straight up, no spreads.
- Guess the tiebreaker. It is the total combined points in one designated game from the slate. The contest names which one.
- Lock in with an email. That is the whole sign-up. You can change your picks as often as you like until the contest locks.
Scoring
- One point per correct pick.Decided by the final score, from the source the contest's rules name.
- Ties go to the tiebreaker.Entries with the same number of correct picks are ranked by whose tiebreaker guess is closest to the actual total, over or under.
- Still tied, first entry in.The entry locked in first takes the higher place. Changing your picks after you lock does not change that time.
When a game doesn't finish normally
- Postponed or cancelled.A game postponed past the cutoff in the contest's rules, or cancelled, is removed from scoring for everyone.
- A game that ends in a tie.Nobody's pick on it counts, and everyone is scored on the remaining games. The tiebreaker still counts, because the total is still a number.
Bonus entries and head-to-head
Where a contest offers bonus entries, you get one for each friend you refer who has not entered before and locks in before the lock time, up to the maximum in that contest's rules. No referral is required: you can ask for a bonus entry by email instead. Each entry is scored on its own, and one person can win only one prize per contest.
On contests with head-to-head, we match you with one other player when picks lock, and most picks right wins. If a friend locks from your link first, you play them instead. It counts on your record, not for a prize, and only your first entry plays. You can turn it off any time before the lock.
This is a summary. Each contest's official rules decide, and every contest links to its own. Full rules
