HOW IT WORKS · GROUPS
Play your friends, not just the field.
A group is a private league over the contests you already play. Everyone makes their own picks in the ordinary way; the group gives you a second scoreboard with only your people on it, and a prize we put up once enough of you are playing.
Starting one
Anyone signed in can start a group, and you do not need an entry first. Name it, and you get a link. Send the link however you like; a friend who opens it joins your group when they make their picks.
Groups are private. Nobody can find yours by searching, and only somebody with the link can join it. You can make one public later if you want it listed.
The prize we seed
Once 6 of you have played, the $10 is on. Your group's highest finisher takes the pool.
It is 6 people PLAYING, not 6 people joining: a member who has not made picks in that week's contest does not count toward it, and the count is taken when picks lock. Above 6 it still pays: 6 is the point it switches on, not a cap on how big a group can be.
A group can also agree a pot of its own, separately from ours. That is between its members; mainmarket does not collect, hold or pay it.
Standings
Your group has its own standings for every contest it plays, and a season table across all of them. They are the same picks and the same scoring as the main leaderboard, because a group is a different view of the same contest and never a different game.
Picks stay hidden until the contest locks, inside a group as everywhere else. Before lock you can see how many of your group are in, not what they chose.
Finding your groups
The account menu lists every group you are in, and on a contest page the bar carries the group you are playing it with, with who is in and who has been invited. Each group also has its own page, which is where you invite by email, rename it, or leave.
